Faster Forward: Speed Skating Manitoba unveils new brand, joining Speed Skating Canada's vision for the future of the sport
WINNIPEG, MANITOBA - Speed Skating Manitoba unveiled a fresh new brand today, becoming the first
provincial or territorial speed skating association to transition to a new visual identity as part of Speed
Skating Canada’s national brand extension project.
Inspired by Manitoba’s official animal, the Bison, the new Speed Skating Manitoba logo represents the
spirit and pride of Manitoba athletes and our heritage of excellence. A bold shade of yellow will headline
our new colour pallet, alongside secondary colours derived from the SCC brand launched in 2019.
The new brand identity will begin to roll out today on social media, with bigger changes happening over
the course of the season. To see the logo in action, visit our new online shop for updated designs from a
new supplier. Keep warm in thermal shirts, rock a toque or get a bag for your gear.
With the brand launch, Manitoba joins Speed Skating Canada’s efforts to re-invigorating the sport
through modernized branding that will foster greater alignment among the provincial and territorial
speed skating associations, several of which will also adopt new brands before the end of the season.
Starting December 3, you'll be able to visit our new website at www.speedskatingmb.com.
